I have been doing my personal and business taxes, recuperating from surgery, and taking care of my family, so I'm stretched thin and have missed many posts including this one: Message 21170855.

One thing that sticks out in my mind........by watching the news, reading the message boards and generally trying to keep up as much as possible......I have been able surmise that those on the side of life (including the president, congress and the governor of Fl) have been demonized as conspiratorial religious fanatics to be generally feared and defeated by those on the side of death. Through all of that inflammatory rhetoric I was hoping to understand as much as possible.

I have a vague idea of what the law says, but beyond that I asked the question the other day: Absent specific instructions by Terry, why would anyone err on the side of death and deny consideration of the willingness on the part of her family to provide life long care? The law has not taken this scenario into into consideration and it is narrow and flawed imo. Her husband's answer is that she would want it that way. I guess that is good enough for FL lawmakers, but it isn't good enough for me.

I said "I give up" the other day. Should have stuck with it.

I think I'll join you.
