I agree. The problem is, those in Washington AND on Wall Street from the Democratic side are NO different. We have 30% of the people who are just lazy and don't want to work, and are content to live on a free ride from the government no matter if it is a poverty lifestyle. Then you have about 2% who are in the ultra-rich category who are content to let these 20% do whatever because they provide the illusion of why government "programs" are needed. This provides the vehicle needed to stuff every "Bill" and "law" with tons of pork and favors to this 2% so we have the complete circle of ultra-rich Republican/Democrat/Whatever "public servants" helping to rob the bulk 68% through taxes on the upper end and inferior wages and benefits on the lower end to keep making the gap between rich and poor growing ever-increasingly wide and deep.

This "looking out for #1" attitude will eventually cripple the country as it did in Rome and all other mega-civilizations.
