Some thoughts on Terri. Maybe living wills should only explicitly state that if possible we be kept on life support indefinitely. Pain and suffering damages in tort awards shouldn't be limited or capped because here is a good example of intense long lasting pain on the part of both her parents and her husband and herself. If we are to keep people like Terri alive indefinitely who is to pay. Does a family need to go bankrupt before society starts footing the bill? And are we all willing to pay the taxes necessary for such expenses?

Both sides are surrounded by lawyers, one side however cloaks itself in heavy duty christianity.
