Well, if you want to redefine traditional marriage and the legal rights that apply to marriages --- and have for well over 500 years --- then I guess you'd better get busy in the 50 state legislatures writing new laws.

What an interesting new world you are going to usher in, where parents can *overrule* the decisions of their married children. (Can grandparents then overrule the parents who overrule the married grandchildren??????)

You are not seriously talking about redefining marriage, are you? When most people marry they commit to abide by each other in sickness or health, not to abide by what their parents think they should do or behave.
