Several of the "smart money " investors I follow (Saville, Zeev Head, Hussman) opine that the market is short-term oversold and due for a bounce. that's true, and odds are for some kind of bounce. but reading hussman, and this tidbit from Richard Russell thursday: McClellan Oscillator was up 80 to minus 256. The Summation Index dropped under 1000 today. The worst declines have come with the Summation Index under 1000. I sure wouldn't want to be long trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip. I'd rather be short and add on a bounce.
