Immersion Obtains $90.7 Million Judgment in Patent Infringement Case Against Sony
Monday March 28, 8:30 am ET

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 2005--Immersion Corporation, (Nasdaq:IMMR - News), a leading developer and licensor of touch feedback technology, today announced that the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California entered judgment in its favor in its patent infringement suit against Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. and Sony Computer Entertainment of America, Inc. (Sony). On September 21, 2004, the jury returned a verdict favorable to Immersion and awarded past damages in the amount of $82.0 million based on sales of infringing products through June 30, 2004. The Court's judgment on March 24, 2005 awarded Immersion the $82.0 million in past damages, plus pre-judgment interest in the amount of $8.7 million, for a total of $90.7 million.
