CB, do you think these folks would be so opposed if we KNEW for a fact what Terri's wishes really were? To me, that is the real rub...I don't feel at all comfortable with Michaels' command over her destiny, in view of what he has done, or not done, since the law suit back in 92-93 was settled.

If anyone makes their wishes known ahead of time, and to many people including their spouse, then I have no trouble with their decision. Obviously, now we know, people need to have their wishes known in writing.


There certainly are a lot of Jews who are opposed to withdrawing food and water from Terri Schiavo -- including Joe Lieberman (Democrat), Charles Krauthammer (Neocon), and Nat Hentoff (Libertarian). Probably because it violates halachic law.
