The Bay Area in particular is very diverse; many people from China, Japan, Vietnam, the Phillipines, India, Pakistan and the Middle East, and Africa. The top elementary school in the state, as far as test scores, is in the Bay Area and has 95% Asian-Americans. However, even with the recent rebalancing, the majority of the history lessons deal with American history (state and national). It's just that now it not exclusively eurocentric, at least through middle school.
