The Karen Ann Quinlan case made the media when she was 11 years old.

Quinlan died in 1985. Terry Schiavo was born in Dec 1963.

A judge threw out testimony from a friend of Schiavo, about a conversation they had about the Quinlan case because he thought that Quinlan died when Schiavo was 14, but Schiavo was 21, when Quinlan died and apparently at least 19 when the conversation happened.
