Clinton is irrelavant to any discussion of the past 5 years. Clinton gave us the best economy of our lives and balanced the books in doing so. He wasn't perfect, but who is? But give him credit. Bush has failed on everything he's touched because his basic philosophy is completely unrealistic, dishonest and selfish. However he's succeeded politically because of 9-11 and being willing to say or do anything to win, including gross cheating, lying, starting a war and fear-mongering. Frankly, I don't even believe Bush is a real Christian. He just does it for photos ops mainly. I believe he deliberately pretended to be born again once he decided to run for office and knew he needed the Christian right on his side. Maybe he prays and believes he's devout but he's not. If he were, he'd care about the poor. That was Jesus's #1 concern. Bush shafts the poor. Look at where his budget cuts fall. Mostly on the poor and the environment. Bush's eagerness to devastate wildlife refuges proves he cares not one iota about God's creations. And his eagerness for war proves he's no peacemaker. Jesus said "blessed are the peacemakers". Jesus also said love your neighbors and your enemies. Just the opposite of the Bush doctrine.
