You can't make informed decisions about the weeds unless you decide what your plan is for the entire lawn first. Lawn? Terrible analogy. The ME is one big desert! Disappointing to read that you are not concerned about zero progress in development of Iraqi patrols, but I guess you are the type that sets low expectations and tries to beat them. I prefer to demand the best of my government, and their failure to produce a meaningful Iraqi civil defense force following two years of occupation isn't enough for me. Two years is nothing in the scheme of things. Two years is two years. As I've written numerous times, it doesn't take more than three MONTHS to train an Iraqi to man a roadside checkpoint. You seem satisfied with C- performance....
