No room for interpretation on that one. You're being sarcastic, no doubt. Well, that's the Catholic Church for you. I don't know any other faith that makes such a big deal out of examining your conscience daily. Rabbinical students and Rabbis, do, too, but my impression is that ordinary Jews are not expected to do so. Catholics have to do so because we don't make general acts of confession, as Protestants do. We have to tell the priest exactly what we did, and that we're sorry, before we are forgiven, so we need to be tuned in to what we do that's wrong.
