NEW YORK, March 29 (newratings.com) - Analyst Patrick Ho of Legg Mason initiates coverage of Lam Research Corporation (LRCX.NAS) with a "buy" rating. The 12-month target price is set to $45.

Lam Research has strengthened its balance sheet by eliminating its debt, while positioning itself for growth via potential acquisitions, the analyst says. There is upside potential to the company's margins during the forthcoming upturn cycle in the industry, Legg Mason adds.>>
