I suppose the same risk is present regarding her saliva. Fragile existence all around. I'm coming to the conclusion that, aside from those with a religious background which precludes any form of suicide, there are a great many people who reject the decision to remove Terry's feeding tube out of sympathy for her family. Not a bad thing, but not necessarily the right thing. Many of us resent the circumstances surrounding this decision and believe not enough attention was paid to the ethics.
