Here is how I read an MRI would be useful in this situation. A set of standardized stimuli are given to the subject and the responses in the brain are compared to the responses of a normal person. Researchers believe certain patterns and or lack of a response can give diagnostic insight into the state of a person’s mind.

Well, I hope your scans come out OK. I may have misspoke, perhaps he mentioned a PET scan?? Anyhow, I am GLAD to see Rev. Jesse Jackson enter the fray on the side of Terri. This IMHO proves this is NOT a conservative vs liberal arguement but a human vs non human arguement. Most of us on the side of Terri are NOT saying LIFE NO MATTER WHAT (though I agree her parents seem to feel that way), we are just saying there was a RUSH TO JUDGEMENT based upon ONE original trial, many years ago, where Terri was TOTALLY UNREPRESENTED and her family had an inexperienced attorney while Michael had the top attorney in this field. Sort of like David vs Goliath. We wanted a NEW LOOK at the EVIDENCE, not just the EVIDENCE IN THE ORIGINAL TRIAL which we believe to be SPOTTY. jdn
