Not if its engine comes from Toyota.

So how would you personally determine if a car is American, or Japanese, or German, or Korean, ect. ?

I don't care what you call it. I am more concerned with the bottom line; that is, American manufacturers are having to buy hybrid engines from a competitor. Once more, we are falling behind the curve. There was a time that the fact Ford had no choice but to purchase engines from Toyota if it wanted a hybrid would have raised eyebrows. Now, the announcement doesn't even knock a point off its stock......that's how accepting we've become of our also ran position in the car industry.

And that's why Toyota has moved into the second position in terms of car production ahead of Ford and is expected to overtake GM's number 1 position sooner rather than later.
