As pointed out recently, program trading just keeps on increasing as the months and years go by. Mutual funds and institutions own most of the stocks in the market - that coupled with program trading means they can do just about what they want to do, when they want to do it.

I had the distinct feeling late this afternoon that the "powers that be" decided they wanted this market to descend into the close. They accomplished their mission, probably bought out a lot of weak holders, and they are now getting ready to "pop" the market in the morning. How about the NASDAQ up 15 and the DOW up about 50, first thing out of the "gate" tomorrow morning. Let the market run for an hour or so, and then start the selling process all over again.

We can wait, watch, and see what happens.:) No guarantees though.:)
