In China I see rising incomes across the board -- and obviously some are rising far, far faster than others. I would put the "middle class" in China at around 100 million. I see people throw around number like 300 million for the Chinese middle class ten years from now -- I find that plausible. Clearly, there is also a subculture of the super rich in China as well. I would assert that China faces far fewer social mobility issues than does India.
