The tails are called shadows. The white area is called the “real body” Most of the day’s trading volume takes place in the real body. A few trades take place in the shadows. Whenever you refer to the candle you always consider the shadow as part of the candlestick. If you think about the above and then look at the shape of a candle, the shape and shadows tell you a storey about the trading session. 139.142.147.218 Plus the taller the candle body is means more trading volume which means bullish if the stick is white in color.
