The troops vary greatly in quality. The Boy Scouts as an organization however is much better run than the Girl Scouts and my kids were in both.

Boy, my experience was nothing like that. I was in the Scouts for years. We camped out, learned many things, it was a very healthy exercise. I never saw ANYTHING I would disapprove of then or now. I hope your situtation was isolated. jdn
