Rightwingers stop saying anyone is "defending Saddam". That's just a dishonest dodge of real questions. The fact is, Bushies lied through their teeth in order to start their war, and are making tens of billions off it now while we all pay the tab. Not to mention we supply the dead and maimed soldiers. Most Americans polled say Iraq was not worth it. And though Saddam was an evil man he was not a clear and prsent danger to anyone but his own people. Take him out? Sure, maybe. But ignore Al Qaida to do it, lie to the American people, fracture alliances and do it alone? No. That's where Bush really went wrong.

Saddam wasn't as much of an embarassment as our current crop of neocons.
