BC,

Re: Don't you think the result of the 2000 election was more egregious?

I find the results in 2004 vastly more worrisome. Because of the confluence of vote fraud, and fawning obeisance on the part of many Americans to a "Big Lie" fraud like George Bush who successfully sold his "fear & terror" story to a gullible public.

The parallels to a xenophobic, fearful and increasingly insane German public accepting the lies of the Nazis in 1930's Germany is all too ominous. Both Hitler and Bush have as their first goal the creation of world empires. They have as a secondary goal, uniting their nations with elitist, racist and remarkably dishonest rhetoric which is blindly accepted by a worrying large percentage of the population. And Hitler and Bush have in common a bloodlust as recently witnessed in the unnecessary slaughter in Ramadi and Fallujah, where sensible ideas about self-rule are meeting with imperial jack-booted thugs attempting to impose full subjugation on the slaves of the Empire.

In 2000, things were barely getting rolling. Now we see the blossoming of the Evil Empire, and it is an ugly show, indeed.
