I called my sales guy at the local Ford dealer and asked him if they were going to have hybrid Rangers by the time I am ready to trade and get a new one next year. He sounded very frustrated. Said he had no idea but he was getting a lot of flack from folks about gas mileage now and hoped they would be rolling out more hybrids. Supply and demand is hopefully, really, actually at work now..Sure would like to get a hybrid Ranger pickup next year. I asked him to pass my request on up the food chain and that I would not be buying another Ford unless it was a hybrid. The hybrid SUV they're pushing is a cop out. I bet they fumble around and don't get them out there until 2007. And I hope Toyota continues to eat their lunch.
