Joe, anybody in the United States is free to speak any language they wish. The gov't dictates none.

And I already said Ireland could do as they pleased- -as long as they were ready to take the consequences of their choice. Who is going to force them to do otherwise? They are also an independent nation.

And any American Indian is free to speak his native tongue- -and some do just that.

MY only argument is it is stupid of the Irish gov't to dictate that road signs and maps can be produced using only a minor language that most of the planet's inhabitants have never even heard of.
