Labeling has been a big issue in the salmon industry here and the fact that labeling is finally required is good for the fishermen. Awareness of the health benefits of wild salmon have increased significantly in the last 3 years and as a result the salmon industry in Alaska is on a strong rebound. King Salmon prices at the dock in Southeast Alaska most of this winter were in the 6/7$ range. That's really unheard of in the past and it is directly related to the awareness and demand for a better and environmentally sustainable fish product.

How about...

Do not eat salmon at all...let them live!

The farming aspect is probably driven by the human palate and the full mouth never being satisfied.
