Here's an awfully cleverly argued position being proferred by Greg Palast, who believes that the neo-cons are being exported from positions of power to more ceremonial circumstances: gregpalast.com democracynow.org My own view is that the neocon poison is being spread far and wide, with Bolton sent in as a wrecker at the UN, Wolfowitz sent in to destroy the multilateral aspects of the World Bank and generalized chaos across the entire planet being the desired goal of the militarists who are in control of the whole game. The goal of the neocons is to deliberately destabilize the planet, making military budgets ever more "necessary". It's a sick and criminal plan, and I'm shocked at how ill-equipped the world is at stopping such outrageously immoral behavior by those who have stolen the U.S. government from the People.
