The way I look at it, our going into Iraq was kind of like vigilante justice. Which is the bigger problem: Saddam doing what he did best, or America barging in without the U.N.'s blessing?

That's the grey area I'm pointing out, but it's funny how those who accuse others of seeing things in "black-n-white" are guilty of the same sin when it comes to their views on Bush.

There was an element of vigilante justice to it. We were the vigilante who stopped the bribed France, Germany, Russia, and China from blocking the enforcement of UN resolutions. There was also some element of upholding international law. We were also pursuing the war against terrorism in a place where is could be fought. There was an element of doing what is morally right.

The fact is that the UN did authorize the conflict. The coalition of the bribed were never going to authorize the termination of their payments. Were they being moral? Were they behaving legally? When one is accused of breaking the law to stop seven criminals, are they really wrong?

As usual, you see things clearly, while the clarity the left has is caused by their seething hatred. I do empathize their pain. It must be terrible to be willing to compromise your morals to hold power only to see it fall from their grasp. Some are so desperate for payback that they try to find equivalency in his successor's actions. Not finding immoral conduct rising to the level of impeachment, they shout that everything he does is wrong.

This is the run out from Democrats attempts to paint black to gray, and now gray must be black. That is bizarrely twisted logic. An alternate conclusion would be that if black is gray, gray must be white. Thus, everything President Bush does that falls in a gray area must be ok. <:d)

Which is really the only type of justice that you can have in international affairs. If the UN supported the action it would have the same element of vigilante justice. The UN isn't a world government.
