You think that farmers should determine everything about farming. But how farming is done affects water quality and the water table, soil erosion, air pollution, and public health. You believe that you have the right to determine everything about how you make your living, but in fact that it selfish because it does not consider the long-term benefits or detriments. It is possible to have reasonable regulation and still allow some autonomy and some profits for the individual farmers, as well. As I've said before, organic soybeans are worth more. Do they cost more to produce? Probably, but they are much better for the health of the land.

Okay, now explain to me how my organic soy beans were sprayed with agent orange. And how that makes them easier to harvest.
