Yes.......just as the right is more likely to use the term communists when describing liberals.

I think in recent times that Democrats are more likely to use facist or nazi to describe Republicans, than Republicans are to use communist to describe Democrats. Of course that might have something to do with the fact that the current president is Republican, but I think that only partially explains it. While "socialist" might be commonly used by conservatives and libertarians to describe liberals, or by Republicans to describe Democrats, "communist" is much less common.
