Getting a Good One

As a long-time NCR employee who has known Mark Hurd up-close before his rapid rise and from not-so-close for years afterward, I can tell you that HP is getting a good one. Mark is no-nonsense, detail-oriented, sometimes sarcastic, and very results-oriented. He will cut through 'fluff' and question everything. If there are pockets of people 'coasting' at HP, they will change or be gone. Losing Mark has taken the wind out of many at NCR - we hope we can get someone as good, but after the losers we had during and post-AT&T, it's hard to be confident. Guess you guys will just have to buy us or something! Times are tough all over and hard decisions need to be made - there will be casualties as there are everywhere. Good luck to HP! Need more evidence of confidence in Mr. Hurd? I bought my first HP shares this afternoon.
