"wstera, 93% of EVERYTHING you post here is OPINION. Is that a fact? Although I completely disagree, you miss a very serious, albeit a very clear distinction. This thread is about exposing reality defying opinions, POV's & assertions stated as fact. Unsubstantiated personal opinions are not welcome on this thread (unless it is posted here as an example of a reality defying POV). Opinions, POV's & assertions that are reasonable, logical & reality based are welcome. If an opinion, POV or assertion is challenged on this thread, it MUST be backed up with links to credible evidence from reliable sources, preferably evidence that can be independently verified. And it's not like we haven't had this discussion multiple times either.

And unlike my sources, we have to take your personal unsubstantiated opinion as the final say so. Why? Because you never back up what you say with real facts from any credible sources. Unfortunately you don't take the time to follow the links or take time to understand the views of those who's politics differ with yours. A vast majority of the articles I post here consistently link to source documents, verbatim quotes, verifiable facts, accurate information from credible sources, professional studies & bipartisan reports, ET AL. Almost every opinion or conclusion drawn in those articles is reasonable, logical & reality based. You cannot say that about anything you have posted here yet. Power Line was Time magazine's blog of the year. Are you saying Time would grant such a title to a bunch of "right- wing-whacko's"? Many of the blogs I link to are among the top tier blogs on the internet. Many of them are journalists &/or write for, are quoted in, or get invited to appear in the media. Are you saying that the very best blogs are run by "right-wing- whacko's"? FWIW, I'd much rather get my news from my sources than from almost any MSM outlet. At least my sources haven't been involved in any scandals that have exposed them for intentionally misleading their audience on matters of substance.

If you read the thread header you will see that the main purpose of this thread is to expose reality defying POV's. You will note that I created this thread as a place for me to document this phenomenon unfettered from the whims of other thread hosts or rude, uncivil posters. I insisted that this thread be consistently civil & reality based, unlike most politically based threads. There is nothing more annoying than to have to wade through a mountain of baseless rhetoric & propaganda just to get to a few nuggets of relevant information. So if you think that I'll miss your uncivil, mean spirited, baseless & unsubstantiated opinions, you are sadly mistaken. They are a dime a dozen on most of SI's political threads. And if you think your insult actually bothers me that few folks besides myself post here, again you are mistaken. This thread has easily surpassed my expectations as a place to gather relevant, reality based info for myself & those who wish to use it for themselves. It has allowed me to easily & quickly support my POV on a number of threads on SI & to share it with friends & family via e-mail. This thread is about quality, not quantity or popularity. When you can articulate what this thread is about, PM it to me & I'll consider removing your ban.
