Hi Sam -- a billion poor people is not social mobility. Show me the growth in incomes. That is economic mobility. Show me the lower caste people entering the professions and running business es -- that is social mobility. Equality in poverty is not the American dream. The Soviet Union had equality -- now it does not. Equality is no mobility. We prefer mobility -- you are out of sync on this one. Caveat #1 -- there is certain to be far more to know about India than either you or eye will ever know.
