You're welcome! To summarize, women under the Celtic Brehon Laws were considered equal to men, held their own property, ran their own businesses, and could divorce. As my new Irish poetry book discusses, the equality of women during this time is reflected in the little fragments of poems showing them to be bold (and sexually aggressive). The coming of Christianity (the Dark Ages) destroyed Celtic culture. This is a gross oversimplification, but if you are interested, it is a fascinating bit of history to delve into.
