well the good news is they don't have much more capacity for the spr. at the current rate of filling up the spr, the 27M barrels would be filled in about 20 weeks. that would give the usa about another 1.4 days use at current demand rates. i feel sure there would be howls from the congress and citizens should budgeting for additional spr infrastructure be raised. i think only another terror attack in the usa would move the political will on that. also thanks for the reference on this from 1992!
