JDN, My homeowner premiums went up too, but not as much as you got hit with. I called the insurance company, and reminded them that I had made no claim for damage by any of the 3 hurricanes that blew through here, but was told that we have to help pay for those that did suffer damage. IOW, they ain't going to pay for it, so we have to.

I am quite willing to chip in to help those that are in need because of the storms, but would rather be able to decide who I help, instead of being forced to contribute via premiums.

I don't really feel that bad about those that insist on living in mobile homes, because they ought to know better than that in a hurricane susceptible area.
