Bulletin: Pope's Condition Reportedly Worsens

apnews.myway.com

Mar 31, 3:33 PM (ET)

VATICAN CITY (AP) - Pope John Paul II's medical condition has worsened, the Italian news agency Apcom reported Thursday night, citing unidentified sources. The Vatican had no immediate comment on the report.

Apcom said doctors had to intervene because of a "worrying lowering of (blood) pressure."

The news agency also said the pope reportedly had a high fever.

A Vatican official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said he was unaware of such a worsening in the pontiff's health and that at least a few hours ago, the pope's situation was "regular."

George Felos claims that he has the power to crash airplanes by his mere thoughts, and that he can communicate with the spirits of people in comas.

He's a total whack job.

He and his former wife used to have a lawfirm devoted to spiritual law. She wrote a book about "Loving Lawsuits," and he wrote a book about "Litigation as Spiritual Practice." In his book, he said:

Excerpts from George Felos's book, "Litigation as Spiritual Practice" (Blue Dolphin Publishing, 2002) with page numbers

About the Jews, George Felos wrote, "The Jewish people, long ago in their collective consciousness, agreed to play the role of the lamb whose slaughter was necessary to shock humanity into a new moral consciousness. Their sacrifice saved humanity at the brink of extinction and propelled us into a new age." (pg 240)

"If our minds can conceive of an uplifting Holocaust, can it be so diffucult to look another way at the slights and injuries and abuses we perceive were inflicted upon us?" (pg 240)

Describing the period he was separated from his ex-wife, "that weekend I experienced rage. Savage, unadulterated, and murderous rage." (pg 6)

Felos wrote about his ex-wife, "To her, I seemed unattractive, sexually unexciting, balding, boring, and just not enough fun to be with....she didn't need me anymore. For her, marriage to me inflicted a fate worse than death. She admitted that for the past year or so she had wished for my death, and whenever I flew hoped the plane would crash." (pg 7)

About his anger towards his ex-wife, "I was on fire, fueled by thoughts of bludgeoning and tearing her apart." (pg 23)

Describing the period he was recuperating from his divorce, "it consisted mostly of dreams of being tormented in some inferno." (pg 27)

Mrs Browning, do you want to die? Do you want to die? - I nearly shouted as I continued to peer into her pools of strikingly beautiful but incognizant blue eyes. It felt so eerie." (pg 63)

"Whatever your opinion about tube feeding, the hard fact was it now stood between Mrs. Browning and her death." (pg 64)

About Mrs. Estelle Browning “As I continued to stay beside Mrs. Browning at her nursing home bed, I felt my mind relax and my weight sink into the ground. I began to feel light-headed as I became more reposed. Although feeling like I could drift into sleep, I also experienced a sense of heightened awareness. As Mrs. Browning lay motionless before my gaze, I suddenly heard a loud, deep moan and scream and wondered if the nursing home personnel heard it and would respond to the unfortunate resident. In the next moment, as this cry of pain and torment continued, I realized it was Mrs. Browning. I felt the mid-section of my body open and noticed a strange quality to the light in the room. I sensed her soul in agony. As she screamed I heard her say, in confusion, ‘Why am I still here … why am I here?’ My soul touched hers and in some way I communicated that she was still locked in her body. I promised I would do everything in my power to gain the release her soul cried for. With that the screaming immediately stopped. I felt like I was back in my head again, the room resumed its normal appearance, and Mrs. Browning, as she had throughout this experience, lay silent.” (73)

“I knew without a doubt what had transpired was real and dispelled the thought as intellect’s attempt to assert its own version of reality.” (73)

As proof of the existence of “soul-speak,” as he calls it, Felos cites an incident with his wife years before concerning their yet-to-be-conceived, unborn son. At this time there was disagreement between he and his wife about whether they should have children. One day at his office, Felos was “hammerstuck. While almost seeing stars like a comic book character, I heard the soul of my yet-to-be-conceived child emphatically shout: ‘I’m ready to be born…will you stop this fooling around!’ … The voice I heard was distinctly male, and I beamed with the idea I had a son—or was going to have a son—or sorta had a son out there—or something like that.” (75) Later, when his wife told him of having a similar experience that day. “I had no doubt we were beneficiaries of the same soul transmission…” (76)

"With my son as catalyst, I felt stirrings of my own early childhood, which was less than idyllic. I unconsciously blamed myself for permitting myself to be abused, and I believed I was, as a child. At some point early in my childhood I self-divided into a protector and the inner essence I was protecting." (pg 48)

While on a plane trip, Felos thought "I wonder what it would be like to die right now?" and “indulged the thought by imagining the plane starting to lose it trajectory and descend.” The plane did, creating chaos in the cabin as people began to realize the plane was going to crash. “Needless to say, the juxtaposition of my imagined death and the possibility of a real demise heightened for me my different reactions. I assure you, my hubris in assuming that I would meet a life-ending crash with equanimity was not lost on me.” (181-182) The pilot later explained to the passengers that there was an unexplained problem with the auto pilot which caused the momentary descent. “At that instant a clear, distinctly independent and slightly stern voice said to me, ‘Be careful what you think. You are more powerful than you realize.’ In quick succession I was startled, humbled and blessed by God’s admonishment.” (182)

About the Estelle Browning case, "I still got a kick that evening seeing myself on the TV news, notwithstanding my frequently displayed countenance in the media of late."

"If I had to urinate, I didn't wait until the next commercial, I immediately got up and went. On the first urge to defecate, I left for the bathroom rather than making one more phone call." (pg 292)

"I can truly say my wife was enamored with me. I suppose power and
success really are potent aphrodisiacs - as my spouse had made particularly
evident our previous night at the Governor's Inn." (pg 246)

This is the largest part of how I read the Schivo case. Michael Schivo's lawyer may not be liable, but I've heard no lies.

Schiavo support founders under false witnessing

Tuesday, March 29, 2005
By Tony Norman

Whatever happened to that commandment about bearing false witness against one's neighbor? It may not be as sexy as the ones forbidding murder and adultery, but the last time I looked, it was still on the books. It's one of those pesky "jots and tittles" Jesus spoke of when he warned the religious leaders of his day that heaven and earth would pass away before any of the commandments did.

It makes you wonder if the folks manning the vigils for Terri Schiavo while simultaneously cursing Michael Schiavo as the second coming of Scott Peterson have any concept of how their calumnies and slander violate the integrity of their "pro-life" witness.

Given the righteous determination with which some have leapt over one commandment to honor another, there doesn't seem to be a lot of concern for embodying a Christ-like response to the agony of both families embroiled in this drama.

According to more than a few misguided surrogates of the Schindler family, Michael Schiavo wants his wife dead sooner rather than later because he's terrified that she'll wake from her vegetative state and accuse him of spousal abuse and battery. Never mind that law enforcement agencies have investigated these recurring rumors and found them specious.

Quack psychiatrists, dubious religious authorities, politicians and radio talk show hosts who have never met Mr. Schiavo insist he's Satan incarnate. Nothing else explains why a "loving husband" would starve an "angel" to death and single-handedly usher in a culture of death in America.

It's one thing when a desperate father insists that his brain-damaged daughter miraculously mouthed the words "I want to live" during a visit. Decency dictates that we politely look the other way in the face of such grief.

But when someone from the family's retinue of loose-talking "spiritual advisers" claims to have witnessed Terri practically reciting Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address during a visit, it is an outrageous lie. So why haven't the media and those with spiritual oversight over such people stepped in to call these liars to account? Talk show hosts may be beyond the pale of empirical truth, but clergy aren't. They must be held to a higher standard.

Ultimately, their well-meaning exaggerations are a false witness against Terri Schiavo and the many doctors and medical specialists who have charted her physical decline over 15 years. Truth shouldn't be the first casualty of this tragedy just because religious folks have strong feelings about it.

Meanwhile, the scenes outside of Schiavo's Pinellas Park hospice have taken on more than a whiff of mob rule, with clergy and protesters alike threatening to punish hard-core Republican politicians for failing to initiate a full-blown constitutional crisis for Terri's sake.

Even Terri's brother, Bobby Schindler, was rebuffed by the crowd on Easter Sunday when he implored them to go home and celebrate the holiest day of the Christian calendar with their own families.

Sadly, Terri Schiavo has become the primary religion for far too many angry and lost souls searching for meaning. "Saving" Terri from the machinations of a secular culture and "godless" judiciary has replaced a transcendent relationship with the God who sanctions truth in their hierarchy of values.

Even fellow Christians aren't exempt from "persecution in the name of love." Pinellas County Circuit Judge George Greer, a conservative Southern Baptist, was asked to leave his church because he sided with Mr. Schiavo and ruled that Terri's feeding tube could be removed. Now he faces death threats while his former congregation pats itself on the back for its righteousness. Unbelievable.

Those who insist that their faith gives them a license to bear false witness against Michael Schiavo have to answer a larger question: What does the perpetuation of slander have to do with Christian hope? And why do people who claim to believe in eternal life recoil in horror from the prospect that one of their own is about to enter into it? What kind of faith is this?
