FWIW, Terri's blood family says that she told them, during the Karen Quinlan case, that she would never want the plug to be pulled if she was PVS.

Michael Schiavo didn't hear Terri say that she wanted the plug pulled, either, it was his brother and a sister in law married to a different brother, who said after the funeral of an older relative of theirs that "she wouldn't want to be a burden" and "if I am ever like that, just let me go."

I have emailed to members of my family, including my mother, PDFs of various living will forms I've been collecting. Told my mother, if she is PVS, don't ask me to pull the plug because I won't do it.

My sister who was estranged for decades probably would be glad to do it, but I don't think my mother trusts her.

Maybe my brother.
