Slider, as T4Texas asked, what is your time frame for this occurring? It sounds like you should be extremely bullish on energy prices and energy stocks at least for the short-to-intermediate term? Also, what catalyst made you change your mind over the past few weeks when you were saying oil had peaked and you were short some energy stocks? Was it your new view on "oil as a weapon?" Thanks.

Slider, regarding your ideas about unconventional economic warfare, they are interesting, but the problem is that with economic interconnectedness, they are likely to have far-reaching and unpredictable results. They might harm the perpetrator more than the intended recipient. Only a desperate or foolish leadership would employ such weapons. The leaderships of both the US and China are first and foremost interested in continuing in the power, wealth and privilege to which they have become accustomed. They will not start a war with a country that they think could fight back. Notice how the US won't even mess with North Korea.
