[<we's sofa king stupid we's gonna plant mo and mo of dem GMOs.>]

No, I just see it as a by-product of the profit motive, really. As long as it is legal and profitable to sell Panda steaks, there will be Panda served on menus somewhere. It really isn't your fault. This is why we have governments and laws.

When I was a kid, my dad told me that, back in the 50's, through ads in the back pages of Popular Mechanics, it was possible to buy a Belgian-made 20 mm bolt action (single shot) tripod mounted cannon. It folded up.

While I disagree with that as being suitable embodiment of the 2nd amendment, it was legal to buy and sell 'em. Still, it doesn't make it a good idea and it is clear that if everyone that wanted to fire a cannon (who doesn't?) could go out and buy one, there would be problems. It would be wrong to say that those who bought them were the problem (or were "stupid"), though.

Same goes with the GMO golf courses. What is the "need" that GMO satisfies there? It is already bad enough that we bring grasses from every corner of the world to other places. We don't need to mess with the genes of things related to cereals.
