Is his just a prelude to the real story to come... Inflation strong enough that the Fed needs to keep raising rates despite an economy that is running out of steam. Wall Street seems to be ignoring the very real specter of stagflation. HArd to see how you can cheer an economy with inflation that is strong enough to demand an endless series of rate raises while the jobs market is so soft. BTW, if this does not prove the unimportance of news to these markets... The markets wants to go up right now. The news is irrelevant. It will go up until it has gone up enough so that it wants to go back down. I think it is trying to form a right shoulder around SPX 1217.
