Well, Freep, with all this healthy divergence of opinion on the thread, someone WILL be right in the end, that's for sure... -g

I tried to go long SPY's on the "pullback", caught a falling knife, gave away a quick half a point, and now - back again to the sidelines, waiting for a pattern SO obvious that ANY idiot should be able to play it right.... g/ng

Man, whatever you want to call this, unless the SPX gets back above 1180 and stays there, it's bearish near term. 60-minute SPX seems to tell the story best:
