I don't exactly know how somebody could have recently claimed to have rediscovered it. The same way that they flew into Andean or Amazonian valleys and tried to take genetic heritage crops and patent them! mindfully.org "The Andean region is becoming known as the ‘biopiracy capital’ of the world.
