Benadryl is such a funny drug. It wipes me right out! Your dog must be really taking it easy now. I'm glad it's nothing serious. Did your vet say anything about the dangers of dogs swimming in lakes? Even though it seems like the most natural thing in the world, I seem to remember that the dogs can get parasites and are susceptible to injuries and other illnesses from swimming in lakes. Where I live, a lot of dogs die each year swimming in rivers, too, because they can get swept down them, stuck with no air under docks, etc.
