It's hardly a Wilsonian push when you invade a country because you tell the world they have wmds and are responsible for 9/11, then, when no wmds are discovered and no link to 9/11, you say "woops", it wasn't wmds and it wasn't 9/11. We missstated ourselves, what we really meant to do was to invade to impose democracy by force. Not exactly what Wilson had in mind.

It is genuinely hard to say what comes out of this stew but we do need to watch the historical revisionism.

You have to get a kick out of the trip Laurence Silberman did on Chuck Robb. No serious mention of the degree to which the administration got the intelligence report it wanted and insisted on. Rather the one which showed there was little hard evidence. Curveball indeed.
