SC,

The writer writes:

"For the past few years I have been documenting how Washington's neo-conservatives have been pushing to remove Saddam Hussein from power and in doing so, take control of Iraq's oil."

I must say - for the past few years the I have been documenting how the extreme left wing has been pushing the theory that Iraq was all about control of oil.

I submit I am more correct than the writer. The implausability of "taking control" of Arab oil is ludicrous beyond its own face. The easiest access to oil with Sadam in power was to buy it. The cost would be far less.
