that was a great piece.

what I find interesting is that to noland, nothing has changed. to me, it sure feels like a lot has changed over the last couple of months.

the stock market is breaking down, the yield curve has flattened (squeezing the leveraged players), housing has topped out in much of the country, and GM, MBI, AIG etc are starting to fall apart.

maybe this is all a result of your fed tapping on the brakes scenario. but IMHO once humpty dumpty falls off the wall, he won't be put back together so easily.

to me it feels like we're Road Runner and we've gone off the cliff, we just haven't yet looked down.

Could it have been before some of the recent modest liquidity "squeeze"?
