JDN, I have stopped any discussion, by me, about the Catholic church on this thread.

BTW, it is the "exhalted" title given to a human being, in any religion, denomination, or walk of life, that bothers me. IMO, only God, Himself has the right to exalt any one.

Many pedophiles were attracted to the priesthood because of their position of authority and their proximity to kids. Just like many others joined Big Brothers and Boy Scouts.

A couple of years ago, our Cardinal had instituted HIV tests for all newbie candidates entering the priesthood as a means of possibly identifying and removing possible abusers. The homosexual groups with the assistance of the media forced him to back down.
