How do we help this generation make a career choice in this ever changing job environment? Seems like the only jobs I see are selling loans and cell phones. you're absolutely right. our country has been hollowed out. the big problem is that a country's wealth is created by manufacturing things, and we don't do that here anymore. I've told my 16 year old son that he needs to get the best education he can, and pursue subjects that he enjoys. hopefully, the rest will work itself out. outside of sending him to china, there aren't a lot of good alternatives.
