Well for most people, scientists included, the knowledge that he would be able to claim asylum and SURVIVE giving an answer displeasing to the regime might, just might I say, make a wee bit of difference in the answers he would give. If such were the case, then his entire family and friends would need to exit as well. So that would make little difference in the cooperation level. If you read Blix, then you know that he said a lot of valuable information came from Saddam's scientists. You read only what you want to see...incredible. When I look at the spin piece that you posted, it's clear that you highlighted only those portions that support your conclusions, and ignored the portions of the piece that indicated that cooperation was taking place. What twaddle. Read it again. Both agreed that there was no real cooperation. You find the quote that says otherwise. No...I read it. You need to read it again...not me. Then after you read the spinners...read the actual press conference that they were spinning. The inspectors were being met with surprising cooperation. Amazing what amassing 200,000 troops will do for cooperation. Most importantly, Blix was able to go to the most highly suspect sites...and see that the intelligence was wrong, time after time...as he said we found no smoking gun. Those were the key words right there that pushed Bush to accellerate the war effort. Bush knew Blix was eliminating the top suspected sites...CIA was telling him where to go...just like Curveball told them. Quick...strike while the iron is hot...another Pearl Harbor might not come along in a decade. Orca
