Well, John Paul's reign was so long that he has appointed 97% of the Cardinals under 80 years of age (those entitled to vote), so I would agree, it would seem whomever is selected will likely have conservative values. When it comes to the Church I personally prefer conservative values as IMHO change to an institution over 2,000 years old should not be done too quickly. jdn

doubt american pope , these cardinals and bishops screwed up the handling of priests molesting kids. American church leaders not in great favor in Rome.
